CHEMICAL PEEL
Chemical peels utilize different solutions applied topically to the skin addressing various concerns and skin types. They can be used to address problems such as acne, pigmentation, rough skin texture by promoting exfoliation, cell turnover, even hydration, depending on the peel solution used.
We have many different types of chemical peels including glycolic acid, lactic acid, tranexamic acid, salicylic acid, and even retinol, as well as some formulas that combine multiple chemicals for the most tailored treatment. Because Dr. Ragsdale is a physician, The Aesthetic Clinic at Visionaire can provide treatments not only with routine mini-peels one might receive during facials, but also more potent, deep treatments under her supervision for more aggressive treatment.
Chemical peels are more affordable than other skin rejuvenation treatments such as laser, and although there are some skin changes such as redness and peeling, these are typically milder with less downtime than more invasive resurfacing. They can be done once before an event or done regularly for skin care rejuvenation maintenance. Peels are definitely a must for your skin care routine!
Depending on the peel, we often finish the treatment with a soothing mask and send you off with post-treatment instructions, moisturizer and sunscreen.
